Competitive Soccer Update
For the 2012 season, RYSC will be offering both a Recreation (Div4) and Competitive (Div1) program for all youth players. Our previously referred to Select program has been renamed as Competitive to align with all CYSA Northern California teams making the same change. Aside from the name change, the RYSC Competitive program remains unchanged for the 2012 soccer season. RYSC operates the Competitive program independently from other local comp clubs and will be conducting separate team tryouts for all U9-U19 age groups.
Competitive Program Highlights
Our program offers an environment for dedicated and skilled players who are interested in growing their soccer development. The Competitive program pairs motivated players with experienced coaches who reinforce higher level technical and tactical soccer habits through training and competitive games. Players interested in playing high school soccer or beyond are encouraged to participate in a competitive program as early as possible.
- Season Duration – Typically June-Dec for U9-U11 with U12-U19 playing a little longer
- Training – Team Training 2 days per week + optional Player Development Training
- Tournament Play – Average of 5 Tournaments per season
- League Play – CYSA Competitive Playing League (CCSL) District VI
- Travel – District VI teams can travel from Fairfield to South Lake Tahoe and Elk Grove to Chico
- Fees – Average team fees range from $100-$250 for entire season
Player Development and Pre-Tryout Clinic
RYSC is committed to the development of all our youth players. We are putting together different levels of player development opportunities for both Recreation and Competitive players seeking individual and tactical soccer improvement. In addition, Competitive teams will have the opportunity to use professional trainers to enhance the team’s development.
